2001 PONTIAC TRANS AM   WHEN TURNING OFF WIPERS THE WIPERS RETURN TO THE TOP AND STOP LOOKS LIKE A FOOTBALL FIELD POST CAN YOU SCORE A REPAIR FOR ME. THANK YOU

Hi Jim:
If you live in a area wher there is snow and you had the wipers frozen to the window and turned them on then the park arm broke and that is the reason for this. If not then possibly the stop that the park arm rides on on the motor is worn out and the park arm will not grab on to the stop and the wipewrs park striaght up instead on down on the cowl. either way the issue is related to the park arm or the stop for the arm with out seeing It I can't tell you which is the issue here. 90% of the issues are with the park arm on the motor the other 10% is mixed between the stop being worn out and or the motor/delay board assembly not running the motor backwards to make the park arm work. good luck :)
