Pontiac Repair: transmission slipping, levle, lorinda

tonight my transmission was slipping around 65m ph and then around 40 mph. is this something simple like just getting my transmission fluid changed or something more major?

It's more then just changine the fluid. I would first check the fl;uid levle when the car is hot if it's full then it's a serious issue and changeing the fluid will not fix it. If it's low top it off and see if it still slips if not then have the leak fixed. If it's slipping chnaces are it's goning to need some major work.
