Pontiac Repair: Brake issue, brake warning light, potiac

QUESTION: Hi Todd
i have a potiac aztek 2001, i am having problems with the brake lamp, when i am driving the brake signal comes on, i went to my mechanical and they did not detect anything, another problem is when i turn on the start all the panels lamps do not come on only the service engine soon,do you have a idea to resolve these issues. I will aprecite your help.

do you mean the anti lock brake lamp is on or the red brake light is on? None of the indicators on the insterment panel work other then the service engine soon lamp? Do the gauges work on the dash?

QUESTION: i meant the red light is on, yes only the engine soon lamp works but before i have the issue them all work, not anymore they did before i got this problem., i hope you can help me thanks

The red light is on for any number of reasons. Low brake fluid in the mater cylinder, The parking brake switch is on or there is a major fault in the ABS system will sometimes turn on the red brake warning light. If you could find out what codes are stored in the system that would help in finding out what is going on here if the fluid is full and the park brake switch is not stuck on..
