Pontiac Repair: 97 Sunfire 2.2 l, spark plug wires, spark plug

Question
My care does not want to start when the weather is damp takes forever to get it to run and end up having to put the peddle down to the floor and turn it over and over then it smells like it has been flooded

Answer
Hey chris:

if the car starts and run fin when it dry and not damp out. I would look at the ignition system either a bad set of spark plug wires and or a cracked spark plug. When spark plug wires get old the insulation breaks down and the voltage leaks out of the wires and jumps to engine ground rather thyen firing the spark plug(S) same thing with a bad spark plug. good luck :)
