Pontiac Repair: car, pontiac gran prix, 2004 pontiac gran prix

Question
I HAVE A 2004 PONTIAC GRAN PRIX 6 CYLINDER THAT IS APPROACHING 10000 MILES IT HAS BEEN TAKEN CARE OF OIL CHANGES ETC) AND HAS GIVEN ME VERY LITTLE TROUBLE. IT IS RARELY DRIVEN OVER 65 MPH. MY WIFE AND I ARE SENIOR CITIZENS AND BOUGHT THE CAR NEW FROM A DEALER. WHAT KIND OF ENGINE MAINTAINING SHOULD BE DONE TO KEEP IT IN SHAPE. BALLPARK COST.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP

Answer
well cost is going to vary greatly from region to region, i am in metro detroit and i can tell you what we would charge, and it might be higher or lower where you live.  Really all depends how much maintenance you want to do.  A complete tune up with plugs, wires, filters, tire rotation, complete inspection and oil change is prolly around $600, a trans service would be  around $130, and about the same for a coolant flush
