Pontiac Repair: rear driver side window, pontiac grand am, grand am

Question
My rear driver side window will go down but not up.   I can hear the motor running but nothing happens.  I took off the panel and I don't see anything broke.  2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT.

1 of 2 things happen with these either the cable snaps on the regulator or the sash clips break off the glass. with out seeing it it's hard to say what happened but if you hear the motor running in both directions but nothing is happening then it's a mechanical issue not with the motor so it has to be one or the other that broke on this. The clips are replaceable but they are glue onto the glass with an epoxy. if the cable snapped you need a new regulator. the clips attach the glass to the regulator. good luck :)
