Pontiac Repair: 1994 pontiac grand prix SE/3.1V6, pontiac grand prix, engine flywheel

Lately my car is having difficulties starting. When I turn the key, it's close to turning followed by what sounds like a VROOM.
After about 5-6 tries, it does start. Could it be the starter motor or electrical related?

I think you have a starter motor issue here that may have cause a engine mechanical issue. The starter bendix (gear) is going bad and my guess it is damagine the engine flywheel. The starter sturns the flywheeel which inturn cranks the engine. If the bendix goes bad it will damage the flywheel over time which is an expensive reapir so get it looed at sooner rather then later andmaybe you can avoid having to have the flywheel replaced. good luck :)
