Pontiac Repair: sunfire 2004 speedmeter 4 drs 4 cyl., gas gauge, speedmeter

When I drive the car sometimes the speedmeter and the rpm goes down by itself... I would like to know what's wrong...

Hi Allean:

what about the rest of the gauses if equipped gas gauge and or temp gauge? do they cut out as well?  It may be an internal fault in the instermrnt cluster assembly if just those to drop out but if the whole thing cuts out and of the warning lamps come at the same time I would say you have a communication issue between the modules in the car. chances are it's just the cluster acting up..
