Pontiac Repair: electrical, pontiac grand prix, grand prix 3

Todd I have a 1994 pontiac grand prix 3.1 with 230,000 miles and for the past week when i use the turn signal the mph and the tach gauges jump up and down with the blinking of the turn signal is this a ignition problem or could it be something else any info would be great. thanks Rick Rommann

Hi Rick:

Sound to me like you have a Ground issue here. Do the wipers work? There is a ground wire on the frame rail just forward of the strut tower on the left side of this car that corrodes and rots off the body that could be your issue. Alos check the battery connections at the battery and the small black wire that runs from the battery cable to the body I'm sure you will find the issue in one of those places. Good luck :)
