Pontiac Repair: 1997 grand prix, wire harnesses, grand prix gt

I have a 1997 grand prix gt sedan that when i hit a bump the radio and power windows stop working. Sometimes it will come back on and sometimes it may take a while. Please help.

Hi Jim:

Well there is a loose connection some where. when the radio cuts out and comes back on does the clock reset on the radio back to 12:00 If so the radio is loosing it's battery power feed or ground. if it doesn't reset the clock it's loosing the ignition power feed. There is not a lot those 2 systems on the car have in common. The only real way I can help you out here is with the car runnin pull down the dash bottom close out panles and start wiggeling wire harnesses and see if you can get the 2 to stop working and then try to see it you have a loose ground wire or a connector in the harness your wiggeling is loose or has a bad connection. there is no real easy way to find an odd problem like this..
