i want to know how to identify blown fuses in my
automobile, it is a 1997 pontiac bonneville se with a v6
engine

If you pull out a fuse and hold it up to the light you will see the wire part in the fuse if it's blown you will see a break in the wire part of the fuse it may have a dark "burned" color to it in the middle of it as well. Thta car has 3 fuses boxes. one under the hood on the fire wall. one under the lefts side of the dash left of the brake pedal and unde under the glove box. good luck :)
