Pontiac Repair: 92 Grand Am SE 3.3L v6 crank, no spark, crankshaft position sensor, crank sensor

Question
I have a dead car. First it would run till it warmed, then it would die, no spark till the motor cooled, etc. I replaced all three coil packs, didn't fix it. Soon after, I had the Crankshaft Position Sensor replaced, and that fixed the problem. It has been about a week, I floored it to quickly merge onto highway traffic, and it reached 50 or so, and died completely. It'll crank, but there's no spark again. I had the ignition module checked and it's good, wondering if it would be a slipped or broken timing chain, or possibly the ECM gone bad. Wondering if it would be a cheapish (less than $300) fix, or if i should cut bait.

Answer
Hi Daniel:

I'd cut bait the car is going to be 18 years old in a few months. did you use aftermarket parts on this or factory parts? If they are aftermarket parts I's suspect a bad part possable another crank sensor. if the senor was not installed properly the fins on the balancer may have worn into the crank sensor and made it go bad again. Jumping time the engien should still have spark but it will not run or will run poorly. Good luck :)
