Pontiac Repair: 1996 Pontiac Blower Motor, wire colors, purple wire

Question
I recently experienced my blower motor going out. Worked one minute, gone the next. Checked the blower motor with test leads. Works great. I think it may be the relay. However, I don't know which one it is in the relay/fuse central box under the hood. Also before this began I noticed that the A/C clutch didn't engage. So, my first thought was the control panel. Could a relay switch disrupt all these functions. Should I try the realy or the panel. And if the relay.....where is it. This is a 3800 series SE.
Thanks,
ken

Answer
Hey Ken:

what model car is this? Yes a control head can cause both issues but I doubt it. You more then likley have 2 issues here. As for the a/c the system is more then likley low or out of refrigerant due to a leak in the system somewhere. as for the blower motor it depends on what model car this is at to the relay location. But if you look at the wire colors at the relay the one with a purple wire is the one for the blower motor. You may have a bad connection at the motor or a motor that is going bad. I doubt it a relay issue. good luck :)
