Pontiac Repair: No air coming out of middle vents, pontiac bonneville ssei, 2000 pontiac bonneville ssei

I have a 2000 Pontiac Bonneville SSEI (Supercharged) Air conditioner was circulating well, then the next day it only came out of the defrost and foot vents and not through the middle vents. What's going on????

Hi Irene:

I think this has a issue with a mode door actautor. That actuator moves the mode door to the positons for the air to move through the HVAC box in the dash. If the acattor is bad or the control head is bad it will do what you are saying. This has auto air system "digital" display in the dash. Your going to have to have the system scanned for codes and see what comes up and a failure. Good luck :)
