just wondering if a transmission out of a 1992 bonneville ssei will fit in a 97 pontiac grand am gt

Hi Joe:

No they will not swap out. The Bonneville transmission is much larger due to it being ina a bigger car. The only things that will swap are a Malibu,Skylark,Achieva fromthat same year. as long as theyy are the same # of gears either 3 or 4 speed. Thay also have to have the same final drive ratio. If that is different the speedo will not read correctly. Good luck :)
