hi could you tell me how difficult it would be for a backyard mech. to change control arm bushings on a 99 pontiac montana van. any tools needed other than standard hand tools? thank you.

Hi Jim:

you will need a tool called a ball joint press. that tool you can use to press the new bushing inot the control arm once your drive the outter race of the bushing out of the arm. just make sure the press has a collar big enough for the bushing. But not not a real hard job you have to remove the arm to do the job. maybe and hour and a half per side for a novice. Good luck :)
