Pontiac Repair: No airflow, blower motor resistor, vacuum problem

Question
I have a 02 Sunfire 2.2 4 cyl that I replaced the heater blower motor on but I still don't get airflow into the cab with the switch in any position. Is this a vacuum problem? If not what else could it be?

Answer
Hi George:

I take it that the motor is running since your replaced the motor? or is the motor not running? it it's not running make sure the fuses are all good and then check the blower motor resistor it's mounted in the heater box right behind the motor. Theyy burn out or even break right off. If the motor is indeed runnung maybe you got the wrong motor for this car and it's running backwards instead of blowing the air into the car it's sucking it out. I have seen that with aftermarket motors before. There is nothing in the heater box that should restrict the air flow from comming out any of the mode positions you select. it should be comming out one of the positions with the motor on. Good luck :)
