Pontiac Repair: 95 grand am defrost fan, wierd question, high humidity

I recently bought a 95 grand am gt.  I've noticed a couple of times when i've come out to my car that the defrost fan is on (but not blowing hot air) before i even get into the car.  the switches are all off and it stops when i start the car.  is this normal or what can i do?

No It's not normal "BUT" if a part called an afterblow module was installed on the car it can be normal. That afterblow module is installed to dry out the heater box for cars that are driven in high humidity to cut down on odor in the heater box. If it doesn't have one and the fan is running on hi speed only I woould suspect something it sticking on like a hi blower relay? This is a wierd question and I haven't run into this ever before But those are my 2 guesses.
