Pontiac Repair: coolant temp sensor loaction, coolant temp, radiator fan

Question
I have just replaced the head on my 1995 Pontiac Grand AM 2.3L and I am not sure that the two sensor's are in the right place. One coolant sensor goes in the head and the other goes in the water outlet housing. does it matter? I know one is the coolant sending unit and the other is the coolant temp sensor for the engine and radiator fan.

Thanks,

Terry

Answer
Hi TERRY:

No it really doesn't matter they are bost on the hot water side of the thermostat I belive? But the one in the head should be the one with the 2 wires for the engine computer the one with the single wire is for the gauge and that one I think is in the neck. good luck and happy holidays :)
