QUESTION: My car was in an accident and the air bags deplyed is in necessary to replace the dash in order to replace the air bags and is this very expensive? Thank you for your time

what model car is this? Some you do and some you don't. Air bags add a HUGE amount to a repair bill after a collision. there are more than just the bags that have to be replaced. let me know what year and model it is and I'll tell you what need to be replaced..

QUESTION: I'm sorry i didn't realize that i didn't tell you the year it is a  2001 pontiac grand prix gt the car went up over the curb and blew out the front tires and the air bags and broke the wind shield and i don'[t know how much damage there is to the underside of it yet the body shop said that it might require the dash to be taken out of it to repair it they won't know until the adjuster gets there and they check it out he said that it could be the factor in whether  they total it or not thanks again

Yes I belive the dash "pad" needs to be replaced on that car as well as all of these parts. Any seat belt that was in use during the deployment,Both air bags, The front crash sensor and the air bag control module. All of those above and beyond the crash damage and the windshield. If I were a betting may this car is going to be totaled even with out seeing it. It's a 8 year old car and it can't be worth what the damages are to it. Sorry to give you the bad news.. But air bag deployment addes a whole nother demension to collision repairs. Good luck :0
