Pontiac Repair: Turn signal, turn signal switch, turn signals

Question
Todd.
I have a 2003 Grand Am  The turn signals quit working however the 4 way switch works and they blink. All of the other lights work just fine. When I turn the blinker on there is no clicking sound either way But sometimes it makes a fuzzy noise through the radio when you turn them on.
Any thoughts with this issue? I was told it might be the Flasher??? However if the 4 ways work is there two separate flashers for the turn signals and the 4 way???
Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi Pat.

The 4 way and turn signals use the same falsher module but their are 2 seperate flashers all in one. turn on the 4 ways and walk around the car and see if any bulbs are out. if so fix that first. those cars were noted for both 4 way flasher modules going bad and the turn signal switches going bad as well it's about a 50-50 shot. does the flasher start clicking and making nosie even know you don't have either switch on maning t/s or 4 way? if so then The turn signal switch is bad for sure! if not it's lean towards the 4 way flasher module which is actually the button you put to turn on the 4 ways. Good luck :)
