Question
I need to know how flow through ventilation works and heating and A/C on 1993 Pontiac Firebirds as my heat is not hot on warmer days, i just got the car and it is not cold here in Pa. yet but does heat get hotter as it gets colder outside?  never had a bvehicle with flow through ventilation before.  Camn it be disconnected?

Answer
Hi Tom:

No you can't turn it off. what is it is a sfety feature to allow fresh air into the car while driving. If your getting warm air in the car when it's warm out it' pssable that the temp door is not moving all the way to the cold position. when the a/c is on does it get good and cold? if so that's not the issue. Like I said before you can't turn the feature off what you can go is turn on the a/c in the max position and then regulate the temp you want with the fan onl low that will sort of defet the warm air you feel blowing into the car. Good luck :)
