Pontiac Repair: Supercharger Boost Gauge, pontiac bonneville ssei, 2003 pontiac bonneville ssei

2003 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi, 3800 engine. The boost gauge indicates just off the peg negative at idle. Reving the engine lifts the needle slightly. No other apparent problems while driving, but have not put engine under heavy load.

Please advise.

Hi Louis:

if the needle moves the supercharger is working. I assume the belt hasn't come off the super charger?? There is a serperate boost sensor on the intake manifold that runs the gauge?It' possable that ssensor is bad or the vacuum hose to it may have a leak in it? Or the last possability is the guage just isn't working right. With out the air of a scan tool it's hard to say for sure what the issue is. good luck :)
