Pontiac Repair: 2000 Grand Am GT flasher problem, turn signal switch, tail lamps

Question
Hi,
if you can help me with this please, would be great.
I have a similar problem as here, but not exactly the same:
http://en.allexperts.com/q/Pontiac-Repair-828/2001-Pontiac-Grand-SE.htm

my hazard signals are working fine, my signal flashers sometimes work sometimes they don't, sometimes they flash rapidly, any idea what the problem is, a fuse? something with the signal flasher stick?

thanks in advance,
Vartan

Answer
Hi Vartan:

well it can be one or the other meaning the turn signal switch can be bad and usually what happens is you hear the flasher clicking but the lamps are not actually on. If they are just working erraticly I's say the flasher module it's self is bad. But you should also turn on the 4 ways and walk around the car and see if and how many bulbs may be out. these cars were noted for tail lamps assemblies to burn out and that will cause a rapid flashing of the turn signals. Good luck :)
