Pontiac Repair: 2005 Grand Am 3400 wont turn over, body control module, scan tool

Question
  No prior symptoms . Battery is full charged, no help adding jump box. Jumped at starter with key on and car cranked over but did not start. Sounds electrical All suggestions appreciated .

does this have a security lamp on or lamp that is flashing? This car has a factory anti-theft system and depending on the year of the car it will crank and will not start, no crank or crank start and stall. every year is a bit different. That is where I would start first. any other goofy things like warning lamps that stay on or are flashing if so start there. without a scan tool your kind of stuck. I'm sure there is a code or 2 stored in this car that would lead you in the right direction but my gut feeling is some kind of a theft system code in the body control module. good luck :)
