Pontiac Repair: AC Compressor, buick skylark, compressor clutch

Question
how do i replace the AC Compressor clutch bearing on a 1998 buick skylark

Answer
Hi Russell:
It can be done buy you need special tools to do the job. some of the big box parts stores will rent the tools. you need a holding tool for the clutch, and a puller for clutch and an installer for the cluth.. The beading is part of the pulley/hub. If you get the proper tools it's not that bad of a job to do. but with out those tools don't even try to do the job because you will damage the compressor for sure.
