Pontiac Repair: 91 firebird wont stay running, vacuum leak, noid light

when i try to crank the car, i have pump the gas peddle alot to get the car to stay running. it is a 305 tbi. i have replaced the egr,ecm, and idle air sensor. the car also has a rough and sometimes high idle.

Have you checked the fuel pressure when it's doing this? It may be low on pressure. I think that engine is in the 11-14 PSI range. it's been a long time sisnce I worked on one of those. does it loose injector pulse? You can get a noid light and unplug 1 of the 2 injectors and try starting it and see what happens. it should "pulse" flash the lamp consistantly. if not then you could have a ecm issue I know you said you changed it. But still could be. You could have an issue inside the distributor and the end result is loss of injector pulse or weak/bad spark. the distributors in those cars were noted for going bad. What about the ignition timing? Vacuum leak? Base timing?? these are just a few ideas to go on. Good luck :}
