Pontiac Repair: Spark plugs for 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix, pontiac grand prix, ac delco

Question
How do you change spark plugs and wires on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix, V-6, 3.8 liter?  I cannot seem to get the old spark plugs out.  The car has 134,000 miles on it and it is jumping all over the road when driving it.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

Answer
Hi Tim.

The wires are easy enough to change just pull them off one ata time from the coil and the spark plug and replace them 1 at a time match them up with the new ones and put the same length wire on each spark plug. as for the plugs I don't know what you man by not getting them out. You can't get to them or they do not want to loosen up? If you use a 5/8" swivel spark plug socket it make getting into the tight places easier. You may want to use a breaker bar to try to loosen them up first before useing a ratchet to get them out. always do this on a cold engine never try to remove them on a hot engine. Alos I suggest only using AC delco pluges no magic sprlit double platinum better gas malage plugs use only original equipment parts! Good luck :)
