Pontiac Repair: ignition switch, place pups, cyl engine

took my 2003 grand am to a store came out and the key won't turn in the ignition  and idea? its a four cyl engine. is there any way i can get it to start to get it home at least?

Well if it will not turn you can try tapping on the end of the key while turning the key that may free up a sticking tumbler. try a spray of silicone in the lock cylinder and tap on the key if not then you stuck. some times what happens to these is the retainer that holds the tumblers and springs in place pups up and out of the cylinder and then they will not come out and the unit will then have to be removed which is not a job for the do it your selfer.
