my key won't turn the lock...the cable is not broken or disconnected. i do not have remote key nor trunk unlock inside car.

Hi Susan:

Well a few things you can try. If the lock is seized and will not turn with the key spray in a peretrating oil into the lock and keep inseting the remving the key to try to work free the tumbelers in the lock after a few tries squirt in some more oil and see if the lock will turn let it sit over night and try the same thing again in the am. If that doesn't work then the only way top get the trunk open is to take out the back seat and you have to reach in from inside the car to the trunk with a long narrow flat blade screwdriver and insert in into the back of the latch and turn the latch to open it. This is a last resort and a real pain to do. Hopefullt the penetrating oil works for you try a product called PB BLASTER they sell it in the big box auto parts stores. Good luck :}
