Question
94000 miles put a code reader on it, and it says it misfiring on all six cylenders. only seems to run rough or crappy at idle or low speeds...under 10 mph. tried to put an aftermarket radio in it....TRIED, but since then as well i have no parking lights, and no dash lights as well. is it all connected? and it has suddenly wanted to overheat as well? please help i just bought this car yesterday

Answer
Hi Greg:

well tyhe easy part first you blew a fuse when you installed the radio. there is a power feed to the radio when the headlamps are turned for the backlighting on the radio. Now as for the running bad both complaints are more then likely tied to each other. I would first check fuel pressure if it's low it will effect all 6 cylinders. Next would be the ignition system. You could ahve a set of bad plug wires and they are arching or you coild have coils that are bad on this engine the plug wires rust the tops of the coil's and cause all kinds of issues. Or it could be an issue with the ignition module or the crankshaft position sensor those parts will effect all 6 cylinders as well. Lastly dirty fuel injectors can cause this as well. that about all that goes bad on these cars for running bad. As for the overheating check the coolant level when the car is COLD and add only DEX-Cool antifreeze at a 50/50 mix to water. Good luck :)
