can not get hatch to open ,how do i get it open with out braking something .thank-you

Hi clar:

well yout goig to have to break something to get the lift gate open. You will need to remove the inner door panel from inside the van. The trim is going to break taking it off due to the fact that it's meant to be removed when the liftgate is in the open position. I take it the outside handle broke and that's why you can't get it open??? Once you get the inside trim off you can peel off the plastic water barrier and get access to the linkage that goes from the handle to the liftgate latch and open the lift gate by pulling on the linkage that goes to the handle. The gate should then open up. Good luck. This is not an east job to do but it can be done.
