Pontiac Repair: Incorrect outside temp on DIC, radiator, good luck

Question
Its 80 degrees outside and my 2000 Montana DIC is indicating an outside temperature of 48 degrees. It does fluctuate but obviosly is displaying incorrect readings. Where might the outdoor sensor be located? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks Todd.

Answer
Hi Bob:

Yep This is a common issue. The seneor is mounted under the hood in front of the radiator. It's a black plastic piece with 2 wire going to it. It's either clipped to the body or attached to the body with 1 screw. it' about 3" long and 1" wide. Good luck :)
