PlEASE HELP ME!!!  7/23/08                                                   I have a 1998 2.2l auto. pontiac sunfire with 100,000 miles on it, it makes a loud clicking noise when i'm driving and when im coming to a stop it feels like the car wants to shut off.(but idles instead of shutting off)

Hi Moe:

can you better describe the clicking noise? is it comming from under the hood or from one of the wheels? does the noise change when you turn the wheel in either direction? does the car run okay or is lacking power like it's not running on all 4 cyliners. If that is the case you could have an ignition system issue and it's only running on a couple of cylinders and the clicking you hear is actually the spark form the ignition system arching under the hood instead of firing the spark plugs. Just a wild guess. Let me know..
