Pontiac Repair: Replaced 3300 Intake Manifold Gasket.....Now Problem, mass air flow sensor, intake manifold gasket

Question
Help,
Daughter has a '93 Olds Ciera wagon with the 3.3L.  Developed what the dealer diagnosed as an Intake Manifold Leak......a vacuum leak that was causing the engine to miss and hesitate when shifting.  Other than that, it was runnning fine.

So replaced the intake manifold gasket.  Straightforward job, and have done it on other GM V6's.  No issues.  Put new o-rings on injectors, and put back together.

Now it runs a little rough at idle, and if I try to drive it, will run at idle, but any gas will cause it to choke and stumble.  Can't get it over about 5 mph.

All vacuum lines hooked up right.  All spark plug wires to the correct spots.  All connectors were put back right.

What do I look for?  Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!

Answer
Hi John:

Try this. Unplug the Mass Air Flow sensor. Its on the throttle body it has 1 plug with 3 wires on it. It's a square black plastic piece about 1 1/2 X 1 1/2" wide and drive the car. if the bad running and the severe hesitation are gone that's what wrong with it. It will stuble a bit and the service engine light will come on but it it runs a lot better that it the problem with the car. Good luck :)
