Pontiac Repair: map sensor 95 bonneville, pontiac bonneville, question thanks

Question
QUESTION: where is the map sensor located on a 1995 pontiac bonneville. my engine really lugs under load. i have replaced maf sensor fuel pump,pressure regulator, filter, injectors, plugs and wires,o2 sensor. i have cam and crank sensors also to replace. thanks for your help, larry.

ANSWER: Hi Larry;
The may sensor is located on the top of the engine towards the front by the alternator it is a black plastic sensor that has 3 wires going to it. It snaps into a piece of plastic on the top of the manifold. You have chnaged an awfule lot of parts on this what was the start of this problem? Or did it start after one of these parts was replaced?

QUESTION: thanks for your quick reply. this is the original problem(lugging-stalling). father=n=law works at sensor factory. i read an answer to another question invoving the plastic intake manifold is this something i should look into? thanks again for your help, larry.

Answer
the plastic manifolds have issues but not running problems. they warp and leak coolant into and out of the engine. if it is the original manifold and I wouldn't look there. if it was recently changed there are cases where there is a o-ring uncer the pcv valve that gets forgotten to be swapped over to the new one. But Like I stated before a MAP sensor is un likely the cause of this but you never know. You can unplug the sensor and rive it and see how it runs. It will hesitate froma stop but see how it runs going down the road. it will tunr the service engine lamp also.
