Pontiac Repair: front-passenger tie rod, inner tie rod, pontiac grand prix

i believe i blew out the tie rod on the front passenger side of my 2000 pontiac grand prix...what do i need to do to confirm & replace?

Well first off if the tie rod broke when you turn the wheel that side will not turn so that would be the issue. Now if something else broke when that let go I can't tell you. It's easy to replace the tie rod end is just threaded on to the inner tie rod like a nut on a bolt. You will need to remove the stud part of the tie rod from the steering knuckle which is what the whell is bolted to. after that is done the car will need to be aligned. Not a real bad job to do.
