Pontiac Repair: 2001 pontiac montana, blower motor resistor, pontiac montana

My blower motor for heater/ac fan only works on speeds higher than 3rd setting. Any help on what the problem might be and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi kevin:

More than likley the blower motor resistor is starting to go bad. eventually only speed #5 will work. it's a pretty common issue. the resistor is attached to the bottom of the HVAC box under the glove box. Get a GM part not aftermarket. the GM part is rediesigned and looks different then the original one. that one will not go bad again.
