Pontiac Repair: door lock relay, power door locks, power window switch

Question
1999 Pontiac Sunfire GT convertible (80,000) My battery drained a couple of days after the power door locks stopped working. Had battery checked (OK), alternator (OK). When reconnecting the battery the locks tried to work on their own. I could hear them clicking as I touched the neg on the battery. Thought is that the relay is stuck in the "on" position thus draining the battery over time if car is not used. Where is the relay located? Also, any other thoughts. I have pulled the door lock fuse to see if the battery still drains. Just did it today so no answer on that yet. Thanks for your help.

Answer
Hi Jer:

That car doesn't have a door lock relay. It just reverses polarity like a power window switch does. I don't know if the 2 issues you have are related or not. trying to find a draw on this car is pretty easy but you need a few special tools. a prarasitic load tool and a digital volt ohm meter. you hook up the load tester in  place of one of the battery cables and bridge the opening in the load tools circuit with the volt meter. then  you have to start pulling fuses one ata a time untill you find which one is causing the draw. there is a fues box under the hood near the battery as well as the one on the left side of the dash. good luck :)
