Pontiac Repair: electrical problem 99 pontiac grand am, pontiac grand am, electrical problem

I have a 99 pontiac grand am SE 6 cyl 2.6 the problem is when we take the key out of the car the lights flash on both headlights and dash, which has been draining the battery over night.

Does this car have an aftermarket alarm system on it? If so that would be the first place I would look. disconnect that and see what happens. Does the car have factory keyless entry? Keyless entry will make the lights flash when the car sees an input from one of the key remotes. You could have an issue with the body contorl module. has any service vehicle soon light come on? without seeing the car and seeing what type of trouble codes may be stored in it it's really hard to say exactly what's going on with it.
