Pontiac Repair: 97 Grand Prix Electrical Problems, pontiac grand prix, grand prix gt

Question
I have a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GT with a 3.8L V6 and I have a few electrical problems that I would like some help with. The CEL, ABS light, horn, and rear window defrost are all not working, I checked all of the fuses and they are all ok, I figured that the horn may just need to be changed, but I'm not sure about the rest. I also looked up one of the codes I am getting, p1641 MIL Control Circuit, not really sure what that is all about.

Answer
Hey Isaiah:

Well i just was looking to see what all of thse things may have in common and not much other than bad gounds. there are ones that attaches to the bottom of dash metal carrier. that is all that they have in common. Are you sure that code was 1641 and not 1671? I only have service info on the net back to 1998. I looked in a shop manual for the rest. What ABS codes are stored in this car? As for the defroster did you check for power and ground back at the glass? The purple wire is the power feed and the black one is the ground. If you don't have any power you have to trace it backwards into the car. The relay for the defogger is by the dash grounds above the fuse box and glove box.  Hope that helps some with the information you gave me that's about as much as I cvan help you out right now... Good luck :)
