Pontiac Repair: 2000 Pontiac Montana, seatbelt reminder, pontiac montana

Question
I have a cassette tape stuck in the player.  Any ideas on how to get it out easily?

Answer
Hey Matt:

No there is not an easy way to get them out short of removing the radio and taking the radio apart to get it out. But there is more than likely an issue with the player being broken and not the tape as to why it will not eject. when a car comes in the door where I work if that's the problem we just order an exchange radio/player assembly from an authorized gm radio repair facility. and just replace the radio. They are usually about $200-$250.00 for a radio plus the labor. If you buy an aftermarket radio for these vans you need a special wire harness adaptor which is big bucks because the van uses the radio for all the chimes for headlamps and door's open and seatbelt reminder. this harness + the price of an radio is usually more expensive the n an exchange radio. Youm may also want to look at Ebay for a radio as well..
