Pontiac Repair: 2000 pontiac montana rear heat but no front heat, coolant level, pontiac montana

I have rear heat but no front heat I replaced the temperature actuator in the just above the gas pedal but still no heat in the front. You suggested maybe if it weren't the actuator possibly a control head for the heater & AC where is the control head located and is this a expensive fix. Please Advise

The control head is the switch you change.... turn on the A/C, change modes and fan speed.
Have you checked first to make sure the front heater core is getting hot?
Check the hoses by feel, are they cool, worm or hot?
Hows the coolant level? Is it full of coolant?
I would check these items before changing the controller.
