What is a CKP Semsor A? Would that cause the car to shut off and not restart? Thanks for the help

Hi Andrea:

The CKP sensor is a Crank shaft position sensor. It is the MAIN input for the ignition system. If that was bad or the wiring to it was bad yes the car will not start it's the input to let the ignition system and engine computer to let both of them know the engine is turning. Hope that helps.
