Pontiac Repair: hissing sound from gas tank, tank area, gas canister

I have a 92 pont grand prix with a 3.1 ,155000 miles on it. I was recently under it to repair an exhaust issue. The car had been running and was hot. I heard a very distinctive hissing sound coming from the fuel tank area. Could this be a evaporative gas canister issue or a fuel pump problem? The fuel filter is new and there was about 1/4 tank of gas.

The noise is the pump running in the tank. if it sounds really raspy I would look into replacing the pump it's only going to get worse. some hissing/buzzing noise is normal and the more fule that's in the tank the quieter it will be so just keep an ear on it if it get nosier I would replace it before it goes all together.good luck :}
