Question
Okay I have a 99 pontiac grand am GT 3.4 The problem started during the summer I would drive and my car would run fine for about 30 mins then it would serge losing horse power sometimes it would just die. But would start right back up and run fine until i try to drive it again.
So any time the my car would pull it would serge and act up
It was really bad going up hills. Now that winter is here it doesnt do it as much sence it is cold out side but when it warms up. the car serges but if i am not giving it gas it runs fine. dont think it has anything to do with fuel but it seems like the car is flooded but only does it when its hot outside also the R.P.M gage goes crazy when the car serges

Answer
Hi
I will ALWAYS tell people to check all the basics first. Also consider a major tune up, if needed.
Check air filter, fuel filter, plugs, plug wires and coil towers for corrosion.
Check fuel pressure.
Check catalytic converter.
Check injector flow
These are basic checks that SHOULD be preformed.
I hope this helps
