Pontiac Repair: replacing block heater cord, extension cord, amperage

I have a 2001 Grand Am SE 2.4L 5speed manual an my heater cord is severed right at the plug end. Can I replace this myself and how do I do it?

I assume you are saying the cord end where you plug it into an extension cord or outlet??/ Not the end at the heater??If it's at the heater end no you can't fix it if it's the other end sure just fix it like you would any extension cord. just make sure you buy a good end that is relativly water tight and can andle the amperage of the heater. good luck :}
