Pontiac Repair: 2002 Grand Prix Dash light randomly coming, grand prix gtp, coolant level

Question
I have a 2002 Grand Prix GTP and the Low Oil light, Low Coolant Light and check engine light come on randomly.  It started with the low oil light coming on sometimes.  I changed the oil sending unit sensor and thought that worked but the low oil light started coming back on about a week later.  Then recently the low coolant light started coming on.  The coolant level is normal and ok.  Sometimes all three lights are on.  Sometimes just one of the lights is on.  Other times no lights are on.  Has anyone ever seen or heard of this?  Is there some kind of defect that needs to be fixed?

Answer
Hi
I would take vehicle to a local repair shop or Autozone, etc.. and have the PCM scanned for codes.
That will be the service engine light.
If there are/was codes stored, I would have them diagnosed first.
IF there happens to be no codes stored, I would then have the coolant level sensor checked (located in the passanger side radiator side tank).
Also have the oil level sensor checked (located in bottom of oil pan).
If ALL these items check out, I ould look at either the
Positive battery cable/cable ends.
Check same on negative side.
I would then check the ignition electrical switch.
I have seen the individual sensors fail, sometimes about the same time.
I also know the switch can cause all sorts of "ghost" problems.
I Hope this helps
