Pontiac Repair: Pontiac Grand Am Turn Signal Switch, pontiac grand am, signal switch

Hello.  I need some help please.  I am trying to find out if i need to get a control arm just for my wipers, or if it is a set and it has the control for the wipers and the turn signals.  My wipers are not working correctly.  They stall when working, I don't have all of the settings that I use to have.  So I'm thinking that it is the control arm.  Am I correct?  Is that also something that is easy to fix or does it have to go to the dealership?  Is there by any chance a recall out on the market for this problem?  Is anyone else also having the same problem?

Hi Connie:

No recall. Yes the wiper and turn signal switches are one big assembly and I beielve it's a dealer only part to. I wouldn't be so sure it's the switch It could be but it could also be the control board on the wiper motor that's bad. Your better off getting this looked at by someone before you go and put a switch in and it not being the problem. Good luck and happy holidays! :}
