Pontiac Repair: window not rolling up, pontiac grand prix, 2004 pontiac grand prix

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix. The rear driver side window will not roll up. The window is loose and I can pull it up by hand. I can still roll it down if I use the switch. If I pull it up and leave it alone it will start to slip down after time. How can I fix this problem?

Well it sounds like the window regulator broke. One of the cables more than likely snapped off. Hopefully that's all and it didn't break one of the plastic clips that hold the window to the regulator. The correct way to fix it is to replace the regulator. I think it comes with the motor on this car. Good luck :)
